CD10
Today DH and I met with our RE for our “WTF”
appointment. This month will be IUI #4
of the same Clomid 150mg + Trigger + IUI.
We met with the RE to change things up if this month doesn’t work. He told us that insurance requires 6 IUI’s
before moving to IVF. We talked about
doing either clomid + 1 injection on day 8 or doing full infects. Since the chances (about 18%) were about the
same for each of these protocols we figured we would go with the less shots one
and the clomid since we know how I usually respond well with the clomid.
So if this month doesn’t work, next month will be clomid 100
mg + either 1 shot of follistim or gonal-f (depends on insurance) + Ovidrel
trigger + IUI + Crinone suppositories (haven’t had to do those yet, should be
fun).
I am excited that we are getting a little more aggressive with
the meds without heading right into IVF.
I am a little annoyed we have to do 3 more IUI’s before we can move to
IVF, but with any luck we will get pregnant before the 6th IUI is
done!
Our RE was great about answering all our questions regarding
risks of multiples (which will be upped from 10% to 20% with the injectibles)
as well as IVF questions and embryo biopsies.
Now all I can do is hope time passes quickly and one of these months
things come together to bring us a baby!
